2015 IS IN GOD’S HAND – PRINCE TONYE PRINCEWILL AT THE FORMAL PRESENTATION OF THE GREAT WOMEN MINISTRY OF PPA

A new Christian Ministry, Great Women Ministry of the Princewill Political Associates (GWMPPA) was on Tuesday 4th of October 2011 formally presented in Port Harcourt the Rivers State capital. Venue of the event was the State Secretariat of Princewill Political Associates (PPA) on Aba Road. In her welcome address at the occasion, the Vision-Bearer of the Ministry, Evangelist Dr Mrs. Edith Wele Amadi told the assembled guests that the Ministry was a culmination of an earnest desire to ensure that God be enthroned in the political terrain of Rivers State, following a revelation she received in answer to her prayers for direction on her appointment as Women Leader of the then Action Congress political party in 2008.

According to her, the journey began with the formation of the AC Women Wing who in addition to their primary purpose of political mobilisation, had a divine mandate of setting aside Monday of every week for a Prayer and Fasting session to seek Divine guidance for the fortunes of the state. She further went on to state that following Prince Tonye Princewill’s exit from the AC and the formation of the PPA, largely made up of his supporters who left AC enmasse after his exit, the Women’s Prayer sessions continued with more fervour and has snowballed into the GWMPPA.

Dr Amadi also added that the Ministry has a burden to intercede to ensure that Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi continues to give the people of Rivers State purposeful leadership by providing equitable access to the dividends of democracy and also to pray for sustainable peace in Rivers State and the country.

Guest Speaker at the event Pastor Joseph Lord, General Overseer of Port Harcourt based Star’s Chapel International Ministries in his exhortation hinged on Luke 19: 8; spoke of the uncommon favour granted to Zachaeus by Christ. He emphasised that from the chequered political history of Rivers State in the last decade and from its inception, it is evident that God is interested in the affairs of the politics of Rivers State. He concluded by that it is the favour of God that will determine the politics of Rivers State by 2015 and not that of any man.

Prince Tonye Princewill who was the father of the day and represented by his Media Consultant, Chief Eze C Eze spoke on his brand of politics which he described as result oriented influenced and motivated towards the emancipation and growth of Rivers State and the country at large. The Prince of Niger Delta Politics further stated the role that God has played in all his activities and politics so far. According to him, “I have resolved to hand over my political destiny to God and have come to appreciate the efficacy of prayer and God’s intervention in the affairs of men that is why I am committed to giving every support and encouragement to this Ministry. The Prince recalling his political sojourn in Rivers State told the audience that with what God has done in his life so far, he has no fear about his political future. He concluded his speech by donating a set of Musical instruments and a brand new bus to boost the activities of the Ministry.

Bishop Boma Lawson the Administrator in charge of PPA thanked the Prince for putting God first in his political career and assured him that the sky will be his limit if he continues like this. He described the event as epochal and historical as the Prince has among his contemporaries become a light of God in the politics of Nigeria as it is only God that will determine political future of both Rivers State and the country at large.

After the event, it was music galore and celebration as the women and the special guests sang and danced to the glory of God.
